Yahoo! Messenger Plus was a Windows program associated with the older Yahoo! Messenger client. YSZ files supplied alternative skins for the messenger interface.
A YSZ file belongs to the skin system of Yahoo! Messenger Plus rather than being a general-purpose image or theme file. The software applies the skin and its included resources when the skin is selected.
Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger Plus are legacy products, so the YSZ format is no longer in common use and may be difficult to use on current systems.
To use a YSZ file, install and run a compatible version of Yahoo! Messenger Plus on Windows, then select or import the skin from within the program. The file is not normally opened as a standalone document.
If the software is unavailable, current applications are unlikely to recognize the YSZ format directly.
There is no standard conversion for a YSZ file. It is a skin package intended for Yahoo! Messenger Plus, not a document or image format that can be exported to a common file type.
To reproduce its appearance elsewhere, the skin would generally need to be recreated manually using the resources supported by the target application.
