MapSend Lite is robust software that enables you to use your MapSend and Magellan Certified maps on your PC to see alternate views, customize waypoints, build tracks, view routes, get increased geocaching functionality and convert data between formats. Whether you're using maps on CDs, pre-loaded SD cards or downloaded from magellanGPS.com, MapSend Lite will automatically adapt to any type of MapSend software or Magellan Certified eXplorist maps you use.

On your PC, MapSend Lite lets you view MapSend and Magellan Certified topographic maps in 3D. Explore the terrain ahead by tilting and rotating the map directly on your computer. When teamed with DirectRoute™, MapSend Lite brings increased functionality so you can build detailed routes or create multi-destination trips. The enhanced geocaching features include: customizing geocaches, viewing hints on your PC, multi-map view of geocache locations, geographic proximity search and a complete geocache listing of all saved locations. You'll be able to easily access the geocache data that you've downloaded from geocaching.com in GPX/.LOC formats and quickly transfer it to your Magellan eXplorist in Magellan's proprietary format.

SmartSearch makes finding addresses, restaurants, gas stations, airports, parks, historical monuments and other points of interest on your PC fast and easy. With the Advanced POI Search you can search ALL points of interest categories, search by specific category, map view or distance from a known point to quickly find just what you're looking for. Use the Address Search to quickly locate addresses included in your MapSend software and use the Coordinate Search to find a geographic location.

Simply connect your Magellan eXplorist handheld GPS receiver to your PC to view detailed and preloaded background maps as well as to edit and save all your GPS data.
