MDL2DXF is convert utility used to convert Flight Simulator MDL model files to AutoCAD DXF Drawing Exchange Format.
This is the basic version my converter for Microsoft Flight Simulator files. Input FS95 or FS98 files. Output: DXF 3d-files. This program accept Flight Shop made model files. I have made a limited test in FS 2000, and it should be possible to use them in most cases. This version of the converter does not convert AF99 aeroplane.
In order to keep the size and programming effort down, this is not a windows-version. It could be used as a commandline tool. But I find it much easier to place the mdl2dxf.exe on the desktop and drag the file you want to convert to the program icon. Release the mdl-file over the programicon and a dxf-icon will appear three seconds later. You spare yourself the fuss of opening windows and choosing in file dialogboxes.
The MDL2DXF software seems to be old or discontinued.

However most, if not all directly associated file extensions should be listed with its appropriate program. Although its likely, that some file extensions may be missing from the list of associated file extensions with the application, yet they can be opened, be part of, or otherwise be associated with the program.
