File extension mlx is mostly known to be used for scripts from Meshlab, an open source, portable, and extensible system for the processing and editing of unstructured 3D triangular meshes.
You can work with this type of scripts only in Meshlab, however you may be able to view or edit it using any text editor.
A conversion for this script file type is highly unlikely.

The mlx file extension is was also used in the old Starcraft, a sci-fi real time strategic video game from Blizzard.
This type of .mlx file represents saved game position for Windows and Mac version of the game.
When placed in the default folder, you can load the saved position within the game.
You cannot convert Starcraft saves to anything useful, just put them in the default folder to load them.
