The pdb file extension is related to a database file type used primarily in Palm OS on Palmpilot devices.
This format is basically a container that contains databases. Except for Palm OS, this format was also used in Garnet OS and some Linux platforms.
PDB format has similar structure to another format used in Palm OS - PRC resource file.
A special version of PDB is also used for ebooks.
