Mandrake Linux was developed by MandrakeSoft and was later distributed under the Mandriva Linux name. An RDZ file contains data used during installation or setup of the operating system.
The file is part of the installation media or installation process rather than a standalone user document. It is associated with older Mandrake and Mandriva Linux distributions running on Linux or Unix systems.
This is a legacy format and is unlikely to be encountered in current Linux installation media.
An RDZ file is normally read automatically by the compatible Mandrake Linux or Mandriva Linux installer. It is not intended to be opened manually in a text editor or standard desktop application.
To use one, keep it with the other files from the original installation media and run the corresponding installer on a compatible Linux system. Modern installers may not support these legacy files.
There is no useful general-purpose conversion for an RDZ installation file. Its contents are intended for the Mandrake or Mandriva Linux installation process, not for export to another file format.
If the file is needed, preserve it with the complete original installation media rather than converting it.
