REGULARIZER file extension - SAM transition regularizer file
What is regularizer file? How to open regularizer files?
File type specification:
The regularizer file extension is associated with SAM (Sequence Alignment and Modeling system).
The regularizer file contains transition regularizer data, that are generally used in conjunction with a Dirichlet mixture regularizer for the match states.
The default software associated to regularizer file type:
Company or developer:

The Sequence Alignment and Modeling system (SAM) is a collection of fsoftware tools for creating, refining, and using linear hidden Markov models for biological sequence analysis.
The model states can be viewed as representing the sequence of columns in a multiple sequence alignment, with provisions for arbitrary position-dependent insertions and deletions in each sequence. The models are trained on a family of protein or nucleic acid sequences using an expectation-maximization algorithm and a variety of algorithmic heuristics. A trained model can then be used to both generate multiple alignments and search databases for new members of the family.

Sequence Alignment and Modeling system uses regularizer file type for its internal purposes and/or also by different way than common edit or open file actions (eg. to install/execute/support an application itself, to store application or user data, configure program etc.).
