Office SharePoint Designer is a Microsoft Windows application and specialized HTML editor for creating, editing, and managing Microsoft SharePoint sites and web pages. The .spdesignasax file extension identifies a file associated with that application.
The format is intended for use by SharePoint Designer as part of SharePoint site-design work rather than as a general-purpose HTML or document format.
SharePoint Designer is a legacy Windows program, and the .spdesignasax format is not widely supported by current software outside the SharePoint Designer environment.
Open the .spdesignasax file with Office SharePoint Designer on Microsoft Windows. If the file is part of a SharePoint site or design project, open it from within the relevant SharePoint Designer workflow rather than treating it as a standalone document.
Open the .spdesignasax file in Office SharePoint Designer and use the application's own save, export, or site-publishing functions when an alternative representation is required.
