The tmb file extension is mainly related to TMX (Translation Memory eXchange), a vendor-neutral open XML standard for the exchange of Translation Memory (TM) data created by Computer Aided Translation (CAT) and localization tools.

The purpose of TMX is to allow easier exchange of translation memory data between tools and/or translation vendors with little or no loss of critical data during the process. In existence since 1998, TMX is a certifiable standard format.

TMX is developed and maintained by OSCAR (Open Standards for Container/Content Allowing Re-use), a LISA Special Interest Group.

This tmb file type entry was marked as obsolete and no longer supported file format.

This type of file is no longer actively used and is most likely obsolete. This is typically the case for system files in old operating systems, file types from long discontinued software, or previous versions of certain file types (like documents, projects etc.) that were replaced in higher versions of their original programs.

Help how to open:

Some CAT tools should be able to import and work with this *.tmb files.

How to convert:

Possibly can be converted to other CAT exchange formats compatible with TMX.
