The ym file extension was used for a very old audio format used on Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC platforms used the General Instruments AY-3-8910 programmable sound generator.
No longer used, but some media players, like Winamp might be able to playback the format with proper plug-in.
Use compatible tools to work with *.ym files.
Probably can be exported to other formats.
