The mdi file extension is used for a high resolution, tag-based graphics format that was used in some previous versions of Microsoft Office.

These mdi files are only supported by the Microsoft Office XP, 2003 and 2007 (NOT supported in Office 2010 and higher) of Microsoft Office Document Imaging.
