Sasami2K was a media player for Microsoft Windows, and the s2k file extension was used for its subtitle files. An s2k file contains timed subtitle text that can be displayed alongside video.
Sasami2K is no longer actively developed, so S2K is now a rare and obsolete subtitle format. Support may be limited even among modern media players.
On Microsoft Windows, KMPlayer and Subtitle Workshop can work with Sasami2K subtitles. Subtitle Converter provides support on Apple macOS and Mac OS X.
On Microsoft Windows, open an s2k file with KMPlayer for playback or with Subtitle Workshop for subtitle editing. On Apple macOS or Mac OS X, use Subtitle Converter.
Because S2K is an obsolete format, a program may fail to open some files even when it lists support for the format.
Subtitle Workshop on Microsoft Windows or Subtitle Converter on Apple macOS can convert an s2k file to another subtitle format when the file is recognized correctly.
Conversion is useful for making the subtitles compatible with a modern media player, but the available output formats depend on the program used.
