The EGG format is used by ALZip, an archive utility developed by ESTsoft. A large archive can be divided into multiple volume files, with each volume storing part of the compressed archive data. The .vol10.egg file is the tenth part of such a set.
All volumes are needed to extract the complete contents. The files should remain together and retain their original names so that ALZip can identify the sequence correctly. This extension belongs to the split-volume form of an ALZip EGG archive, not to a separate type of document.
ALZip supports this archive format on Microsoft Windows, and ALZip for Mac supports it on Apple macOS and Mac OS X.
Install ALZip on Microsoft Windows or ALZip for Mac on Apple macOS or Mac OS X. Place the .vol10.egg file with all the other volumes from the same archive, then open the archive through its first volume in ALZip. The program should then be able to read the complete set and extract its contents.
Opening only the tenth volume, or omitting another volume, may prevent the archive from being opened or extracted successfully.
A single .vol10.egg volume cannot be meaningfully converted on its own. Use all volumes with ALZip to extract the archive contents first.
The extracted files can then be compressed into another archive format with an archive utility that supports that format. This produces a new archive rather than converting the individual volume directly.
