What is aab file? How to open aab files?
File extension aab is mainly related to to Google Android and used for one of the default installation packages.
These files were introduced in Android Studio 3.2 but since AUG 2021 AAB format replaced the previously used APK file as default format for Google Market.
The main advantage of this file format is that it can significantly reduce the size of the app that users download, as Google Play can generate optimized APKs for each user's device configuration. This can lead to higher install success rates and more installs.
AAB format is not meant to be deployed on user devices directly, instead it is used for generating APKs for specific device configurations.
