If you need to, you can use RAD Video Tools to convert avi to bik, i.e. standard AVI video to BINK encoded video. Except for that, some multimedia converters may also support BINK format, however it's always better to use the original tool for maximum compatibility.
Often used by modders that want to replace or insert custom video in some older computer game which uses BINK format.
