Unfortunately, we have not found any useful cap to kpg conversion or what it might be precisely. But .kgp files are graphics files made using the Kai's Power Tools Goo graphics filter for Adobe Photoshop or Corel Photo-Paint, so perhaps this conversion is related to some kind of graphics export. Reaching out to Kai's Power Tools Goo online community (if it exists) would probably be best course of action, especially if you want to turn some rare graphics to KPG format.
