CAD designs prepared using the Autodesk Inventor (.ipt) can be exported to all kinds of exchange formats, including AMF format (Additive Manufacturing format). It seems that Inventor lacks support for such export by default, but some of its competitors support AMF format and thus should be capable of ipt to amf conversion or export, maybe with some middle step conversion.

The tables with software actions are a good pointer for what a certain program does with various file types and often may give users a good hint how to perform certain file conversion, for example the above-mentioned ipt to amf. However, it is not perfect and sometimes can show results which are not really usable because of how certain programs work with files and the possible conversion is thus actually not possible at all.
