Find a software converter able to convert xlam files to xls files.
It is not possible to directly convert Excel's .xlam as .xls files, simply because XLAM format does not contain spreadsheet data. It is an add-in that can be installed in Excel to enhance or add new functions. This might be applied to a new or existing spreadsheet (.xls, .xlsx), but direct xlam to xls conversion is simply not possible.
Unfortunately, there is no detailed software record in the database for this conversion.

XLS
Files with xls extension are best known as spreadsheets from Microsoft Excel. A spreadsheet is basically a grid of cells sorted in rows and columns. Each cell can contain text, numeric or formula data. Excel XLS spreadsheets can be opened in most other similar programs, such as OpenOffice.org Calc.
