File extension damage seems to be mainly related to a ransomware that appeared first in late February 2017 and was labeled the same - Damage.
Much like similar ransomware, it encrypts user files and then changes the suffix from the original to damage.
Unfortunately, we do not have any information about any decryptor for .damage files, yet.
