The 066 file extension is generally used for split files. A part of larger file split using splitter software, such us HJSplit, WellTek 001 File Joiner & Splitter, SplitJoin or File Managers, such as Total Commander.
It is also associated with several archivers or compression tools, which are using, or did use in the past, the 066 file extension for its multi-volume files or archives, such as Winrar or 7-Zip.
In case of split files, you will need to merge them first with the use of the splitting/joining software tool, before you can open or work with them. If the files are compressed multi-volume archives, you will have to extract the first one and it will automatically continue to extract all the parts. In either case, you will need ALL the parts to access the original content.
Use WinRAR compression utility to extract archive contents and start with first archive (first archive file has mostly file extension rar or 000 or 001).
Extract archive ant then compress to another archive file format (like .zip etc.)

Winfunktion Mathematik is an older German mathematics program released in 1998. The software line later reached version 18.
The .066 file stores data for a Julia set mathematical fractal used by Winfunktion Mathematik. It is a program-specific data file rather than a general-purpose image format.
It is unclear whether newer versions of Winfunktion Mathematik continue to use .066 files for Julia set fractals. The format is therefore mainly associated with the older version 8.0 software.
Open the file with Winfunktion Mathematik Plus on Microsoft Windows, preferably the version that created it or version 8.0. Newer releases may not support this older file type.
Open the file in a compatible version of Winfunktion Mathematik and use the program's own export or save options, if available, to create another representation of the fractal.
