File extension appzip is used for one of the formats in modern IBM software solutions.

According to IBM website, a typical .appzip file contains all resources that belong to the application, such as .msgflow, .cmf, .esql, .map, .xsd, and any message set .dictionary and .xsdzip files. If an application refers to one or more libraries, .libzip or .shlibzip files for the referenced libraries are also added to the .bar file.

How to open appzip file?

Probably can be extracted like any other ZIP file, but is actually used only witihin .bar files.

How to convert appzip file?

A direct conversion is unlikely, given that these are just resource packages.
