Microsoft Streets & Trips was a Windows application from Microsoft for planning trips, finding places and viewing maps. An ASR file stores route information created in the application.
The file is intended to be used with Streets & Trips rather than as a general-purpose map or document. It preserves a planned route and its associated stops so that the route can be reopened in the application.
Streets & Trips is discontinued, so the ASR format is a legacy format mainly encountered with older Windows installations and archived route files.
Open an ASR file with Microsoft Streets & Trips on Microsoft Windows. Use the program's Open command and select the file. A compatible installation of the discontinued application may be required.
Open the ASR file in Microsoft Streets & Trips. If the installation provides an export option for routes, use it to save the route in a supported format.
If Streets & Trips is unavailable, the route may need to be recreated manually in another mapping application.
