The bulk-001 file extension belongs to BulkZip, a data compression tool for Microsoft Windows that uses its own compression format.
The bulk-001 file contains the first volume of a compressed, multi-volume BULK archive. The remaining volumes contain the rest of the archive data.
The BULK format uses LZMA2, PPMd and DEFLATE compression methods.
To unpack the archive, place all of its volumes in the same directory and start extraction from the first volume. BulkZip then uses the other volumes automatically.
A bulk-001 file is only one part of a split BulkZip archive. Make sure that all parts of the archive are present in the same directory.
Open the first part in BulkZip on Microsoft Windows and start the extraction. The application reads the other volumes as needed.
There is no need to convert a bulk-001 file separately. Extract the complete multi-volume archive with BulkZip, then create a new archive from the extracted files using another compression utility if required.
