Microsoft Clip Art package file
File type: Archive and compressed file
A CGDB file is a Microsoft Clip Art package file associated with Microsoft Office for Mac. It stores clip-art content for use by the software's clip-art tools.
File type category:
Archive and compressed file
Date updated: September 27, 2026
The CGDB format was used by Microsoft Office for Mac to package clip-art resources. A package can contain the artwork and related information needed to make the clip art available in the Office clip-art collection.
CGDB files belong to older Microsoft Office installations for Apple macOS and Mac OS X.
Open a CGDB file with a compatible older version of Microsoft Office for Mac on macOS or Mac OS X. The file is intended to be used by the Office clip-art tools rather than opened as a standalone document.
If a current Office installation does not recognize the file, it may require the original compatible Office for Mac software.
If the package opens in a compatible version of Microsoft Office for Mac, insert the required clip art into an Office document and save or export the artwork using a format supported by that application.
