EGT compressed folder
File type: Archive and compressed file
The enzip file extension identifies an EGT compressed folder.
EGT Compressed Folder was used in advanced systems to compress entire system folders into a single file.
File type category:
Archive and compressed file
Date updated: October 2, 2026
Record marked as obsolete and not updated for a long time.
An enzip file contains compressed folder data created by EGT Compressed Folder. The software was intended for compressing complete system folders rather than individual files.
The EGT compressed folder format is obsolete and is no longer supported by its developer or producer.
An enzip file should be opened with the original EGT Compressed Folder software, if that software is still available. Because the format is obsolete, current archive programs may not support it.
If the original EGT Compressed Folder software can open the file, use it to extract the contents. The extracted files can then be placed in a currently supported archive format.
