CyberLink PowerRecover is a backup and recovery utility for Microsoft Windows. Its .okr files are associated with the program's One Key Recovery function.
An .okr file contains backup data used by PowerRecover during a recovery operation. It is intended to be handled as part of the PowerRecover recovery set rather than as a general-purpose document or archive.
The format is primarily useful within PowerRecover. An OKR file may have an archive structure that resembles ZIP, so it may be possible to rename it to ZIP and extract its contents, although those contents may not be sufficient for system recovery.
Open an .okr file with CyberLink PowerRecover on Microsoft Windows. Use the program's backup or recovery workflow to locate the file and restore the associated backup.
Do not edit or rename the file if it is needed for recovery. An OKR file may sometimes be examined as an archive after being copied. You may be able to rename it to ZIP and extract its contents, but the extracted contents are not necessarily sufficient for restoring the system.
There is no standard conversion from the .okr format to another backup format. PowerRecover should be used to restore the backup or create a new backup in a format supported by the installed version.
Because OKR files may be renamed ZIP files, you can potentially rename one to ZIP and extract its contents, then convert individual contents separately. This does not convert the OKR backup into another usable system-recovery image.
