The PSS format is associated with Screensaver Producer, a software tool for creating screensavers developed by Axialis Software. The file belongs to the application's project workflow rather than being a finished screensaver itself.
A PSS file can contain the project information and settings that Screensaver Producer uses when editing and building a screensaver. It is intended for use on Microsoft Windows with Screensaver Producer and is not a general-purpose media format.
Open the .pss file in Screensaver Producer on Microsoft Windows. You can usually open it from the program's File menu or by double-clicking it if the file association is configured.
If Windows does not associate the file with Screensaver Producer, start the application first and use its Open command to select the file.
A PSS project file is not normally converted with a standalone file converter. Open it in Screensaver Producer and use the application's build or export functions to create the finished screensaver.
Keep the original PSS file if the project may need further editing, because exporting the screensaver does not replace the editable project.
