TXK is a text-based karaoke lyrics format used by older karaoke software or devices, including KaraDOS. A file usually contains song lyrics as plain text.
The .txk file is commonly stored in the same folder as the corresponding karaoke audio file.
A .txk file can usually be viewed and edited with any plain-text editor. If the file is used with KaraDOS or a compatible karaoke device, open it through that software to display the lyrics with the associated song.
Because TXK is a text-based lyrics format, its contents can be copied or saved in another text format with a text editor. This may not preserve karaoke-specific formatting.
For use in another karaoke program, import or re-create the lyrics with that program if it supports a different lyrics format. A specialized karaoke program may be needed for conversion.
