The .bak file is the same as .dwg and .dxf files, but used by AutoCAD for automate backup of project files.
The .bak file extension is used by AutoCAD to store automate backups of project files (DWG, DXF file extensions). Simply rename bak extension to dwg and see if you can open the file in AutoCAD. This is pretty much the only particular bak to dwg conversion we know of, but similar CAD programs may use bak files for backup purposes as well.
It is unlikely that you will find some bak file converter online that would allow you to convert bak to dwg.

Files with bak extension can be most often find as one of the many backup files generated by numerous programs, usually by the means of renaming the original extension to bak.
Files with bak file extension may also be found as drawing backups created automatically in Autodesk AutoCAD, a CAD solution for Apple Mac and Windows.

DWG
A dwg file extension is used for standard CAD file format, originally used by AutoCAD. A DWG is a proprietary format and can only be created in AutoCAD. Because of this, DWGs are often exported to DXF interchange format so that they can be seamlessly used in other CAD programs.
A dwg file extension is related to the BravoDRAFT an old CAD tool. A dwg file stores CAD drawing. It is not compatible with AutoCAD DWG format.
