Importing music sheet from PDF files to TablEdit.
pdf to tef conversion is most likely searched in the context of the potential recovery of musical tablatures (.tef) from PDF files that contain music sheets, or the PDF files were exported by another tablature software.
As far as we know, TablEdit does not support such a function natively but supports a plethora of alternative music notation formats that can be used instead. The best format to facilitate such exports is MusicXML. MuseScore can be used to read PDF files and produce a MusicXML sheet that can be imported into TablEdit and saved as .tef file.

A pdf file extension is mainly used for Adobe Portable document format, commonly referred to as PDF. All programs that create some sort of documents or projects offer the possibility to export their format to PDF format. A free PDF viewer (Adobe Reader) is available for download from Adobe website.
Rarely, files with pdf file extension might also be found as preferences definition files for ArcView program.
