File extension sprite2 is used for the default sprite format in Scratch tool version 2.0. It works pretty much the same like the previously used .sprite files, with additional functionalities added in the newer version of the tool.
These files are meant to be used in the Scratch tool only.
Export of parts or icons is most likely possible.
