In most (if not all) scenarios, pages to docx conversion basically represents the export of Apple Pages documents to Microsoft Word document format, and quite a few people are looking for a way to convert pages to word.
The most convenient way to convert text documents saved in .pages files to Microsoft Word document (.docx) format would be to use any of the Pages apps for Mac or iOS.
On Windows, a viable alternative would be to install the latest version of LibreOffice suite, which apparently supports some versions of iWorks documents. This may not always be perfect, and some formatting may be lost during the conversion process, but it is likely the best option to convert .pages to .docx in Windows.
However, if you do not own a Mac or iOS device with Pages or cannot open your .pages files in LibreOffice, there is still hope. You can rename .pages file extension to .zip ► unpack the archive ► find file preview.pdf file and open it in any PDF viewer. Preview.pdf file stores a preview of Pages document with text formatting and other settings, but the quality might not be perfect.
