Find a software converter able to convert prj files to pdf files.

Many programs (including Windows itself) have used .prj files for the projects in the past and perhaps some of them still are.

Often a PDF function is available to either export the output of the project as PDF documents or provide some sort of reporting function that creates .pdf files. You can also use the default Print function to produce PDF documents, if you have a virtual PDF printer installed on your computer.

Files with prj extension can generally be found as project. Used in many programs to save work in progress.

Files with prj suffix can also be found as ArcView Shapefiles in projection format. Used in GIS software ArcView from ESRI. Definition file.


A pdf file extension is mainly used for Adobe Portable document format, commonly referred to as PDF. All programs that create some sort of documents or projects offer the possibility to export their format to PDF format. A free PDF viewer (Adobe Reader) is available for download from Adobe website.

Rarely, files with pdf file extension might also be found as preferences definition files for ArcView program.
