Pegasus Mail, developed by David Harris, uses static kill files to retain filtering information for messages that should be rejected or removed. A KFS file contains the static kill rules used by the mail client.
The file belongs to Pegasus Mail's internal data and configuration files. Pegasus Mail reads it when applying its message-handling rules, so changing or removing it may affect the program's handling of unwanted messages.
This format is associated with the Microsoft Windows version of Pegasus Mail and is intended for use within that application.
Open a KFS file with Pegasus Mail on Microsoft Windows. The file is normally used automatically by the mail client and may not provide useful content when opened as a separate file.
A KFS file is an application-specific rule file and has no useful general-purpose conversion format. Pegasus Mail does not normally convert it into a standard document or mail format.
To move the filtering rules to another mail program, recreate them manually using that program's filtering tools.
