The orf file extension is used for a raw image format for some Olympus digital cameras.
Raw images are basically the data as it comes directly from the CCD chip in the digital camera. Raw files can also contain text information and metadata about the picture and conditions in the camera when the picture was taken.
Modern special image photo editing software should be able to work with *.orf files.
Various photo management tools export this orf raw images into common picture format like jpg. See suggested software or conversions below.

Descent 3 was developed by Outrage Entertainment. In the game's level data, an ORF file describes a single room. A room consists of faces defined by any number of three-dimensional vectors, and faces can share vectors to help reduce memory use.
The file is divided into chunks, with each chunk describing a particular part of the room, such as the header, vectors or textures. A chunk contains a four-byte chunk identifier, a four-byte integer specifying the data size, and the corresponding data.
This is a legacy, game-specific resource format for the Microsoft Windows version of Descent 3 rather than a general-purpose 3D interchange format.
ORF files are intended to be read by Descent 3 for Microsoft Windows as part of the game's room data. They are not normally opened as standalone documents.
To inspect or edit one outside the game, a tool specifically designed for Descent 3 level or resource data is required.
There is no standard conversion for an ORF file. It stores Descent 3 room data in a game-specific binary structure, so it cannot be meaningfully converted with a general 3D file converter.
Any conversion or export requires a compatible Descent 3 editing tool that understands the room chunks and can write another supported format.
