Ransomware encrypted file

Satan ransomware is malicious software that encrypts files to prevent access to their contents. It renames encrypted files by adding the .stn file extension.
The ransomware also displays a ransom note named HELP_DECRYPT_FILES.html. The .stn suffix identifies an affected file rather than a normal document format.
These files cannot normally be opened until they have been decrypted. There is currently no known decryptor for files encrypted by Satan ransomware, so renaming the file or opening it with another application will not restore its contents.
A .stn file cannot be meaningfully converted while it remains encrypted. After successful decryption, the recovered file can be opened or converted according to its original format.
