The SWD file extension is used by Spanish Whiz, a Microsoft Windows program for learning Spanish, for dictation sound files.
SWD files contain sound data used by Spanish Whiz's dictation exercises and are intended to be used with that program.
Open an SWD file with Spanish Whiz on Microsoft Windows. The program may access the file through its lesson or dictation features rather than through a normal file-open dialog.
If Windows does not associate the extension with Spanish Whiz, start the program and use its relevant dictation or lesson function. Renaming the file does not make it playable in another audio program.
SWD files are intended for use by Spanish Whiz. To obtain audio in another format, use any export or save-as option provided by Spanish Whiz; otherwise, a general audio converter may not be able to convert the file reliably.

Spanish Whiz Dictation Sound File
The file contains audio used by Spanish Whiz as part of its language-learning content. Spanish Whiz accesses the sound file when the corresponding lesson or exercise requires audio playback.
This is a program resource rather than a general-purpose audio file. It is associated with the Microsoft Windows version of Spanish Whiz and is intended to remain with the other files used by that software.
Open the .swd file with Spanish Whiz on Microsoft Windows. The software should load and play it when the file is in the location expected by the relevant lesson or exercise.
Because the file is a Spanish Whiz resource, it may not open correctly in standard audio players.
The .swd file is a Spanish Whiz program resource rather than a general-purpose audio file, so standard audio converters may not recognize it.
