The ubi file extension is associated with various computer games developed by Ubisoft, a French multinational video game developer and publisher.
The ubi file stores an introductory Ubisoft logo animation that a game can display during startup.
This is a game-specific resource format. The game loads the file as part of its own startup or presentation data, and the file is not normally intended for independent use.
An ubi file is normally opened by the Ubisoft game that contains it. It is not generally intended to be opened directly in a media player or other standard application.
To inspect or use the animation outside its game, a tool specifically compatible with that game may be required.
Because the file is a game resource, conversion to a standard video format depends on the particular Ubisoft game and any compatible resource tools.
In normal use, the file should be left in its original format so the game can load it correctly.
