File extension w3g file is used for Blizzard Warcraft III game replay file - a recording of a Warcraft 3 game.
It includes all activities of a scenario or match from start to finish. It is saved automatically in the WarCraft III installation folder.
It will be overwritten the next time a game is played if the file is not saved manually.
The W3G format is still used in the 2020 remake Warcraft III: Reforged.
Use Warcraft 3 / Wacraft III reforge to playback the matches recorded in .w3g files.
Direct export is not possible, but game replays are often exported as video with screen recording tools.
