We have found 12 software records in our database eligible for .mp4 to .flac file format conversion.
Although it is possible to convert MPEG-4 multimedia (.mp4) files to FLAC audio, the resulting file will have the same quality as the original MP4. FLAC format is used for a lossless audio compression, which is only possible from original - high quality sources. So mp4 to flac conversion is certainly possible, but somewhat pointless.

MP4
An mp4 file extension is typically used for MPEG-4 multimedia files defined by ISO 14496-1 standard. Commonly used for video and movie files and supported by vast number of media players.
FLAC
Files with flac extension are used for audio files compressed with the FLAC, aka Free Lossless Audio Codec. FLAC files do not lose any quality with their compression as MP3 do, but they are generally larger. Most modern media players support playback of FLAC files.
