HyperBac WinExtractor was a Windows program that you can use to extract native SQL Server backup files from SQL HyperBac compressed or encrypted files. You can also use HyperBac WinExtractor to verify SQL HyperBac backup files, and to view backup file metadata.
HyperBac HBC, HBC2 or HBE format archives can be extracted using the HyperBac extraction utilities (extractor.exe command line extraction utility or WinExtractor graphical utility). An example of the HyperBac WinExtractor is shown below, in which HyperBac archives can be queried or decompressed, equivalent functionality is available in command line format using the extractor.exe executable.
The HyperBac extraction utilities are provided royalty free and are distributed with the HyperBac product. HyperBac also allows you to backup or export to DEFLATE compatible archives which allows the archives to be decompressed using well known decompression utilities such as WinRAR as well as the HyperBac extraction utilities.
Additionally, HyperBac compressed archives can be restored or imported directly on the DBMS platform on which the archives were created as long as the HyperBac Control Service is running on the system.
The WinExtractor software seems to be old or discontinued.

However most, if not all directly associated file extensions should be listed with its appropriate program. Although its likely, that some file extensions may be missing from the list of associated file extensions with the application, yet they can be opened, be part of, or otherwise be associated with the program.
