Latest versions of CorelDRAW should be able to import AutoCAD drawing files (.dwg) just fine and save the default CDR vector or bitmap graphics format.
Some online conversion services might also claim to support dwg to cdr conversion, however most of them are not really reliable or just support some old version of CDR format.
DWG
Files with dwg extension are used for the original CAD format originally introduced in Autodesk AutoCAD. The latest version of DWG format is usuaually proprietary and can only be created in AutoCAD. Other CAD programs can usually import it but not create its proprietary form. Because of this, DWGs are often exported to DXF interchange format so that they can be seamlessly used in other CAD programs.
CDR
Files with cdr file extension are graphics files saved in a unique, proprietary format from CorelDRAW. It is used for artworks, rich documents, or even simple logos.
