TRACE file extension - TRACES 3D Scene

What is trace file? How to open trace files?

File type specification:

3d graphics, CAD-CAM-CAE file type icon 3d graphics, CAD-CAM-CAE file type

File extension trace is also used for a very old 3D format used in Amiga software by Ton Roosendaal. He is now known as the original developer of the Blender open-source 3D computer graphics software toolset.

These files appear to be a 3D object oriented format with limited support in modern software. Usual workarounds require Amiga emulators.

Help how to open:

Unfortunately, no modern software can reliable read or import these files. Only the original Amiga tool.

How to convert:

Various 3D models or CAD files can be typically exported to some exchange format or converted between different formats. Once again, not all CAD/3D modeling programs may allow conversion of every format. But, there is always the option of using some of the dedicated 3D conversion utilities with a broad file format support.
